Community Support

Binaal Billa is supported by a team of professional community support workers (CSW’s) who are committed to providing culturally safe, trauma-informed, and holistic support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander victims and survivors of family and domestic violence and/or sexual assault.

The support team play a vital role in delivering comprehensive case management which includes:

  • Holistic case management

  • Safety Planning

  • Assistance with Victims’ Services compensation claims

  • Court preparation and support

  • Referrals to internal and external support services

  • Advocacy on behalf of clients

  • Access to early intervention and prevention programs

  • Community education

    Our CSW team works closely with the legal team to ensure that clients receive appropriate, timely, and culturally responsive legal advice and support. This integrated approach strengthens outcomes for clients by addressing both their immediate needs and long-term wellbeing.



Case Management Services

Legal Services

Binaal Billa’s legal team provide quality legal services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander victims of family violence. The legal team provide trauma informed services to clients including:

  • Free legal representation

  • Legal advice

  • Court support

  • Advocacy

  • Community legal education sessions

  • Referrals to appropriate services or supports

The legal team with client’s consent will work collaboratively with the Community Support Team to ensure clients have access to holistic case management further support and follow-up in a culturally competent and safe manner to assist in the best outcomes for clients.

Binaal Billa works in a domestic violence and trauma informed way and are focused on providing practical options to assist people to resolve their legal issues.
