Office Hours – Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 4.30 pm

Debbie is a local Forbes woman from the Wiradjuri nation. She has been working supporting victims of domestic violence and sexual assault for nearly 16 years. She has been living in the Illawarra for the past 10 ½ years. While there she worked for Wollongong Women’s Refuge as a Semi-Independent Support Worker, assisting women in obtaining affordable long term housing. Also working for Family Services Australia as a Staying Home Leaving Violence Support Worker, assisting women to remain in their own homes or a home of their choice after being a victim to domestic violence. Debbie was also the Manager of the Community Services Team at Illawarra Aboriginal Medical Service. Debbie has studied extensively and holds Certificate IV in disabilities, Certificate IV in Community Services, Certificate IV and Diploma in Mental Health, Diploma in Counselling and a Diploma in Leadership and Management as well as child protection, suicide prevention, Elder abuse, Work Health and Safety, Tenancy, Court Support, Domestic Violence Core Training and Lateral Violence Training. Debbie still remains passionate about supporting victims and offering a holistic approach to assist with healing.
